Deal Dash: Cool Springs development adds restaurant spaces; Vanderbilt children’s hospital expansion nears completion

Meridian Cool Springs is adding two new restaurant buildings and a public green space to the mixed-use district. Construction has begun on two restaurant spaces: a 1,400-square-foot space and a 4,700-square-foot building which will be connected by nearly 5,000 square feet of interactive outdoor space. “This formal open space will allow us to stage live music, movies, and other events year-round,” said Grant Kinnett, retail leasing lead at Boyle Investment Co., in a release. The enhancements to the 60-acre development are expected to be complete by late spring 2024. “What we’ve seen in the market is that people — restaurant and retail patrons, office workers and tenants — are seeking the same thing, and that’s community,” said Mark Traylor, director of retail at Boyle Investment Co., in a release. Meridian Cool Springs is a mixed-use development in Franklin that features 900,000-square-feet of office space and 90,000-square-feet of retail and restaurant space.
